Whether looking inside a technical marvel of a specialized plane, or watching the prowess of the pilots who guide them through all sorts of amazing feats, you couldn't help but be proud of the dedication and drive they exhibited, emblematic of the dedication and drive that has brought our country its freedoms. And kept them.
As a reporter, I was able to talk with those wise and dignified pilots, and fly with the kind and courageous parachute team (see earlier posts), and I am both impressed by them and grateful to them.
Happy Independence Day, America! We've got a great team on our side!
