People and passions

One of the real joys of working as a reporter, is the chance to meet people who are passionate about what they do. Maybe it's a hobby, maybe it's a profession, but they know it inside and out and they're good at and they want to share it.

My thanks to those who answer my many questions and share their many insights, who enlighten me and help me enlighten others.

Those who follow their passion, whether it's music or sport or politics, can inspire us to follow ours.

You know what this means

March in Utah

Heavy rain turned to heavy snow overnight Monday and blanketed the city in white. The good thing about snow in March is how fast it melts. And how soon the roads are dry. And how close Spring is. At least we like to think it's close.

Incredible moment

I didn't take this picture because I'm in it. That's me on the left, massaging the nose of a horse that just a few minutes before was wary of me, and I of him. We became friends after working together and reading each other's body language and being sensitive and non-threatening and communicating. We bonded. We trusted. It was one of those incredible, breath-taking moments in life. Build trust. Bond.
